Office Procedures

The office opening hours are between 8.50am-3.20pm Monday to Friday

The office is closed for lunch between 1.00-1.30pm.

The turnaround time for all documents/letters requiring school information eg. Visa applications, passports, letters of attendance, government forms, school reports etc is 5 working days.

If a child is being collected early, parents should inform the class teacher in advance to make sure the child is available for collection and ready to go. Parents must arrange collection of their children outside of the office lunch time.

Children will only be handed over to parents/adults who have been noted on the annual permission form. In cases of emergencies, if a different adult is collecting your child, parents need to inform the class teacher or the office.

If a child is being collected during the school day, the only staff who have permission to hand over children are Clare, Mrs Dunne and Ms Fields. Other teaching staff and ancillary staff do not have permission to hand over children. This is in line with changes to our updated Child Safeguarding Policy to ensure children are always handed over to the appropriate and correct adult. (This policy is now available on the school website).  Please allow sufficient time to collect your child as they may be in the hall, doing PE outside, having break etc and it can take a few minutes to get them organised.

If a parent needs to pass on an urgent message to their child’s teacher, a call or email to the office is the most appropriate way to do this.

In general, staff are not available to take calls during teaching time. Parents can request a call back or arrange a meeting for an appropriate time by contacting the office.

Parents are reminded that staff can only take a brief message relating to a collection change etc at drop off or collection time. Staff are not available to discuss matters relating to children or incidents that may have happened. Parents are welcome to request a meeting with a staff member at an appropriate time, if necessary.
