We have a very active choir in St Francis of Assisi.  Every child is welcome to join the choir from 3rd class. We practice once a week in the hall together learning new songs and polishing our old songs. 

We are always very in demand at Christmas time and we sing in local nursing homes and for the School Sing Along on the last day. Over the years at Christmas we have also sung in Dublin Airport, Donaghmede Shopping Centre and raising money for charity in the local bank.  

We often take part in the Laudate Festival as part of Catholic Schools' Week. For this event we learn lots of new songs and perform them at a concert in a big church on Ballymun Road, with many other schools.

Each year we choose our favourite few songs from that repertoire to sing at the Communion and/or Confirmation. 

Every second year, the 4^th and 5^th classes get the chance to take part in the National Children's Choir. This is a great opportunity for every child to perform with an orchestra on a big stage.  

Each year we invite parents / family members / older siblings to accompany the choir on their musical instruments on the last day of school before Christmas at our annual Sing Along. We have had fantastic players on guitar, bass guitar and keyboard and look forward to many more in the future.
