Our Green-School Committee was established in October 2008 when we joined the Green-School Programme. We are looking at the topic “Litter and Waste”, in order to achieve our first Green Flag Award. We carry out Litter Surveys to look at the litter around our school. We also carry out a regular waste audit to look at how much waste we send to the landfill. As a result of looking at how we dispose of our waste, we now compost our natural waste and recycle our paper and plastic. Our Healthy Eating Policy, promotes the reduction of our lunch waste. We try to look at the topic of Litter and Waste by remembering to REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE.
